Where the money goes

The Shared World Project is structured to direct the maximum share of donated funds into program work. We keep operating overhead lean by relying heavily on volunteer labor, in-kind donations through our Second Life Collective program (which also generates earned revenue through our neighborhood resale shops), and shared infrastructure with our parent organization Netism.

Founding-year funding focuses on three Texas cities (Austin, San Antonio, and Houston), so dollars go further in concentrated regional impact rather than thin nationwide spread.

Tax deductibility

Donations to The Shared World Project are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Each donor receives a tax-receipt email containing our EIN and the IRS-required "no goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution" statement (when applicable).

Donor privacy

We never sell, trade, or rent donor information. We never disclose donor identity without explicit permission. See our donor privacy policy for full details.
